Hey guys, it's Jake here with Etrailer, today we have a 2016 Honda Odyssey, and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the CURT four-pole wiring harness to tow trailers. This four-pole wiring harness is a great accessory to add to your Honda Odyssey. If you've already got a hitch receiver, I'd highly recommend adding a four-pole wiring harness, just in the odd chance that you may have to tow a trailer or if you're like the owner of this vehicle, they're wanting to pull a small camper. We're actually gonna be pairing this with our ETBC7L kit. That is a seven-pole kit with just the power wire run so that they can use the CURT Echo, plug it in, and they can tow their camper with it. Now the biggest reason why you would want to install a four-pole trailer wiring harness on your Palisade is because you're wanting to pull a trailer that has a four-pole wiring harness. If you want to pull a trailer that has brakes on it, you're gonna wanna upgrade to a seven pole. We have an ETBC7 kit on our website that will go great with the Palisade and this Curt kit in order to get brakes and your auxiliary and your reverse lights to that trailer. Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Ford Transit T150- Video
Well neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Curt 4-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2016 Ford Transit T-150. Adding 4-pole trailer wiring harness to a Transit is a great idea if you have a hitch because if you ever plan on pulling a trailer, you're gonna need to get the lights sequence to be able to go to the lights on the trailer, and this is a great way to do it because it plugs in directly to your factory style plugs that you have on your taillight. And this one is module protected, meaning any back-feed that might occur from the trailer, it's not gonna harm anything on the vehicle. Not only is it module protected, but it also has an inline fuse, so you don't have to worry about any of that causing issue. Now as far as installation goes, this is pretty easy. You're gonna take your taillights out, and we're gonna be plugging 'em in there. more

Hey, guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Hopkins fifth wheel and gooseneck in-bed wiring kit. And when you're thinking about installing a gooseneck or a fifth wheel in the bed of your truck or if you already have one, installing an in-bed wiring kit in my personal opinion, is going to be a must. The only other way to run wiring to your fifth wheel or gooseneck trailer is to run that wire over top of your tailgate. And what that can do is over time you'll get some, especially on a white truck like we have here, you'll get some black marks, the cord itself could get rubbed, many, many times when you're turning the vibrations of the cord hitting the paint job could rub the paint off your truck. Best 2022 Subaru Crosstrek Trailer Wiring Options- Video
Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be checking out our best trailer wiring options for your 2022 Subaru Crosstrek. We're gonna be looking at three different kits today. So right here we have the Curt wiring kit, this one is the Tekonsha and this one here is the Hopkins kit. While they're all gonna get the job done, all utilize that factory connector plug to, you know send those signals out to your trailer, there are a few small differences and if you we're to ask me what one I personally would put on my own vehicle, I would either say the Tekonsha or the Curt. And really for one big reason and that's because the length of four-way flat wiring that you get is nice and long. more

Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2022 Ram 2500- Video
Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2022 Ram 2500. We're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Draw-Tite 5th wheel and Gooseneck In-bed Wiring Kit. Now, the biggest reason why people like to put a wiring kit in the bed of their truck is so that when you're hooking up to your 5th or your gooseneck you've got all the components in the bed of the truck that involve hooking up to your trailer. So you hook up to your 5th wheel or your gooseneck trailer and while you're in here making all your connections, you take your wire and you plug it right into the side of your truck. The only other option of plugging in a gooseneck or 5th wheel is to drape the 7-pole wire over your tailgate and plug it into the 7-pole down by your bumper. more

Now, there's a few different reasons why you would want to install a four-pole on the back of your Subaru Crosstrek. Some of those are that you may want to tow a small trailer. Our particular case is that we're going to be adding some accessory lights to the back of the bike rack, because the bikes that the owner of this vehicle has, they block the taillights. So they want to be safe when they're driving. more

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the Curt four-pole wiring harness on our 2023 Mazda CX-5. Now the biggest reason why you would want to install a four-pole wiring harness on your CX-5 is so that you can tow a trailer. I'd recommend a smaller trailer. You'd have to check in your owner's manual to see what your vehicle is capable of towing. But this is gonna get the lighting functions from your CX-5 to your trailer lights so that you can safely travel down the road. more

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Tekonsha T-One vehicle wiring harness with the four pole flat trailer connector. This is gonna provide the four-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle so you can power up your trailer's signal lights and your trailer will be street legal and will reflect the same turn signals, brake lights, and that sort of thing as your tow vehicle so other motorists will be able to see if you're turning or stopping and make everything much safer for you. This kit is designed specifically for the Lexus year and models that you see on the screen there. Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2021 Volvo XC90 and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the Curt 4-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness. Installing a 4-pole wiring harness on your XC90 is going to allow you to hook up a trailer to your trailer hitch and then safely get the lighting signals from your vehicle back to your trailer light so others know what you're doing. Now, more recently, there's a lot of accessories, hitch mounted accessories that are coming out that per the state that you live in you may have to display taillights on the back of your accessory, whether it's a bike rack or a cargo carrier if your tail lights are blocked. So if you have bikes on a bike rack you can get a bike rack that has a. that have alternative brake lights and turn signals on the back of the bike rack. more

Bargman Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2022 Ram 2500- Video
Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2022 Ram 2500, and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Bargman fifth wheel and gooseneck in bed seven pole. Now, the biggest reason why you would want to install a seven pole in the bed of your truck is because when you're hauling a fifth wheel or a gooseneck, both of those are typically going to have your standard seven pole plug on 'em, and it's much more convenient to plug it in here and not have anything draping over the tailgate of your truck. Typically, what people do if they don't have in bed wiring is they'll run their seven pole from the gooseneck or fifth wheel over the the tailgate of their truck and plug it into their seven pole. Well, there's a couple of problems with that. If you're doing that on a regular basis, chances are at some point you're going to forget that it's plugged in and pull away with it still connected because the wiring will be looped down here, you could disconnect from your camper, or your gooseneck trailer and pull away and your wiring will still be underneath plugged in. more
